Almost 6 months Now!!! Time For An Update!
Sorry everyone!! It has been waaaayyyy too long since I posted an update on Lola! She is 5 1/2 months old now! Getting dangerously close to the 6mo mark! I cannot believe it! I know everyone tells you how fast it goes by but it is one thing to hear it and another to experience it! We are doing our best to soak it all in though!
She is doing really well! She has found her voice and talks A LOT now!! I have no idea where she gets this from! She likes to 'talk' or scream at Stryder a lot too! She has recently become very aware and entertained by him (for those of you who don't know, Stryder is our 8 yr old yellow lab). She is very aware of everything now!! She is eating cereal at night and watches everything we put in our mouths now. She now knows we are eating and reaches for food and drinks all the time. I might have made the mistake of giving her some of my water :/ now she wants anything we are drinking! Woops! Guess I won't make that mistake again!
She loves her Johnny Jump Up! She was sooooo proud of herself the first time we put her in it. She stands up and tall and rigid as she can and yells. Then she follows it up with a smile or laugh. She jumps a lot and plays with Stryder too. It is great!
We recently got her a walker too. She wasn't sure about it at first. She would push herself with both feet, mostly backwards, and had a hard time controlling where she was going. Now she is pushing herself forward and using a walking motion more. Its hit and miss. Sometimes she loves it, sometimes she doesn't. But Mom and Dad definitely love it!
She makes all kinds of funny faces now. She does raspberries with her mouth. She is a healthy happy baby girl! She has been sleeping through the night since about 3mo. We are looking forward to starting baby food soon! I have a couple of videos I will try to post soon of her johnny jumper and her first time eating cereal. All is going well here! Talk to you all again soon!
Love,
Jami, Jeff, and Lola!
